The Jahan
About The Jahan
Sail through the rich histories and vibrant cultures of two countries linked by the Mekong River, where every moment offers a new discovery. Experience the essence of Vietnam and Cambodia aboard The Jahan, a ship that embodies comfort and grand style. Built in 2011 and considered the finest vessel on the Mekong, The Jahan offers spacious staterooms with private balconies, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the ever-changing scenery along the river.
Stretching 230 feet with four expansive decks, The Jahan provides ample space for relaxation and socializing. The ship's public areas are thoughtfully designed for both gathering with fellow travelers and finding quiet corners for personal reflection. Whether enjoying the view from the lounge during daily Recaps or lounging on the top deck as cities and villages drift by, you'll appreciate the relaxed elegance that defines life aboard. The dining room, accommodating all guests in a single seating, encourages mingling without the formality of assigned tables. With casual living at its core, The Jahan makes your journey along the Mekong as effortless as it is luxurious, with conveniences like onboard laundry services to simplify your travels.
The Jahan features 24 outside cabins, each exceptionally spacious and designed for comfort. All cabins include glass doors leading to private balconies, perfect for taking in the river's beauty. With a choice of twin or queen beds, each cabin is equipped with private facilities, a hair dryer, individual climate control, a mini bar, and a selection of pillows to ensure a restful night.
Dining aboard The Jahan is a daily highlight, where artfully prepared meals showcase the vibrant flavors of Cambodian and Vietnamese cuisine, with continental options always available. The dining room's single-seating arrangement fosters a convivial atmosphere, turning each meal into a memorable event.
The ship's public spaces are designed for your comfort, offering sweeping views and full air conditioning. The terrace deck features both covered and open-air areas, a small swimming pool, and a full-service bar. On the upper deck, the lounge includes a library and facilities for films, slide shows, and presentations. Guests are also invited to visit the “open bridge,” where they can meet the captain and learn about river navigation.
Special features aboard The Jahan include a spa offering a variety of massage treatments, fitness rooms equipped with steam baths, treadmills, stationary bikes, and elliptical trainers, and a boutique showcasing local art and textiles. Begin your day with a peaceful session of morning tai chi on the terrace deck, setting a tranquil tone for your adventures.
What truly sets The Jahan apart is its Vietnamese and Cambodian staff, including talented chefs who bring the region's cuisines to life. This not only enriches your culinary experience but also deepens your cultural connection to the places you explore along the Mekong River.
