About Sea Cloud
Embarking on the historic Sea Cloud, a magnificent four-masted barque, promises a truly unique experience that effortlessly combines luxury with adventure. Whether you're sailing through the sun-drenched Caribbean, where warm trade winds beckon you to relax on deck, or exploring the storied Mediterranean, where Sea Cloud often stands as the most captivating ship in port, each moment on board is infused with charm and excitement. This exceptional vessel offers unparalleled opportunities to discover charming coastal towns, immerse yourself in ancient history, and revel in the timeless beauty of the world's most iconic waterways.
Sea Cloud's opulent interiors showcase its storied past, with antique furnishings, marble fireplaces, and gold fixtures that create an ambiance of timeless elegance. Originally designed by Marjorie Merriweather Post and E.F. Hutton, the ship's main deck cabins, including the original owner's suites, are adorned with period-style furniture, while the promenade and captain's deck cabins offer modern, stylish accommodations. Every detail has been thoughtfully chosen to ensure a comfortable and luxurious retreat for all who sail aboard this magnificent vessel.
Life aboard Sea Cloud is as much about the journey as it is about the destinations. Whether you're watching the crew skillfully maneuver the sails, relaxing in the tranquil "Blue Lagoon," or capturing stunning photos with guidance from a Lindblad-National Geographic certified photo instructor, every moment is a celebration of the art of sailing. Despite the ship's grandeur, the atmosphere remains delightfully informal, allowing guests to enjoy black-tie amenities in a relaxed, casual setting.
Dining on Sea Cloud is a refined yet relaxed experience, with meals served in a single seating that encourages camaraderie among guests. The cuisine emphasizes local and Continental dishes, complemented by fine wines at lunch and dinner, with refreshments available throughout the day. The ship's inviting public spaces include a covered lido bar, an open-air "Blue Lagoon" for unwinding, and a luxurious lounge perfect for evening relaxation. Guests are also welcome on the "open bridge" to learn about the navigation and sailing of this magnificent vessel.
For the more adventurous, Sea Cloud is equipped with Zodiacs for quick landings and shoreline exploration, and in the Caribbean, guests can dive into the vibrant underwater world with snorkeling excursions. The ship's expansive outdoor decks offer the perfect vantage points for soaking in the breathtaking scenery of the Mediterranean and Caribbean, while enjoying the thrill of travel under sail.
Sea Cloud is a vessel that embodies the romance of the Golden Age of Sail, combined with the comforts of modern luxury. With its rich history, elegant design, and a perfect balance of exploration and relaxation, a voyage aboard Sea Cloud is a truly exceptional journey that offers the best of both worlds.
