National Geographic Gemini
About National Geographic Gemini
We're excited to introduce the newly launched National Geographic Gemini to the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic Galápagos fleet, continuing the tradition of small-ship expedition cruising. Built in 2001 at the same shipyard as National Geographic Orion, the National Geographic Gemini is a nimble, shallow-draft expedition vessel ideal for exploring remote areas effortlessly.
Sailing year-round with a maximum of 48 guests on weeklong voyages departing Fridays, the National Geographic Gemini offers a variety of accommodations tailored for comfort and relaxation. Cabins on the Bridge Deck (Category 4 & 5S) feature private balconies with seating, while Suite 601 on the Upper Deck (Category 7) stands as the largest in the Galápagos fleet, boasting a separate living room, forward-facing balcony, private jacuzzi, side balcony, and floor-to-ceiling windows. All cabins are ocean-facing, equipped with flexible bed configurations, ample storage, a sofa, desk, television, and stocked mini-fridge. Bathrooms are spacious, featuring glass showers.
The vessel embodies an authentic sense of place fostered by longstanding relationships with local communities and conservation groups. Meals highlight locally sourced farm-to-table and ocean-to-table ingredients, enhancing the immersive experience provided by the dedicated Ecuadorian crew.
Enjoy the ship's amenities on the Upper Deck, including a whirlpool hot tub, windowed fitness center, and spa, perfect for relaxation. An outdoor café on the Lounge Deck offers open seating for all guests, complementing the restaurant on the Marina Deck. The lounge, with its large bar, extensive library, and adjacent reception area, serves as a hub for presentations and casual gatherings.
Equipped for comprehensive exploration, the National Geographic Gemini features Mark VI Zodiacs, a glass-bottom boat, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and snorkeling gear with shortie wetsuits for all guests, ensuring a thorough discovery of the islands and marine reserve.
Embark on an unforgettable journey through the Galápagos Islands with the experienced Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic staff, including seasoned Expedition Leaders, Undersea Specialists, Certified Photo Instructors, and licensed naturalists. The staff are also certified as Field Educators, enriching the experience with the National Geographic Global Explorers Program tailored for children and teens.
Discover unparalleled comfort and adventure aboard the National Geographic Gemini, where every aspect is meticulously designed to enrich your Galápagos exploration.
