Many ports offer easy access for wheelchairs and scooters; however a variety of conditions including gangway steepness, tenders, weather and sea conditions, and shore-side facilities may prevent guests who use mobility devices from getting on or off the ship. Guests must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair to board tenders. In most cases motorized wheelchairs and scooters cannot be taken on tenders. Please note that even if the ship is scheduled to dock at a pier situations may arise where the disembarkation process changes from pier side to tendering. Guests are unable to tender or disembark because of due to these circumstances, will not be entitled to a refund of credit for missed ports.
If you require the regular use of a wheelchair during the cruise, you would need to bring your own or rent one from a service provider. You can easily and conveniently arrange for the rental of scooters or wheelchairs by calling 888-494-7303 or click here for more information.
